The goal of this game is to get a hand that is closer to 9 in value than the banker's. This game is played up to the score of 10; once ten scored, meaning that your score is 10 or larger, 10 is subtracted from the total score. Using this system, your score will always be between 0 and 9.
For example, your cards total 15. 10 is subtracted and the value of the hand becomes 5. One quick clarification: you score 10, 10 is subtracted, you have 0. Just want to remind you that you can score 0. Scoring is as follows: an ace is one, a two is two, three is three, this continues through 9, 9 is 9. Then things change: 10 through King all equal 0.
